In light of the recent regulation changes concerning whistleblowing we have developed a new software system called Revelto. This system has been designed to assist employers in achieving full compliance with Act No. 171/2023 Coll., on the Protection of Whistleblowers which will come into effect on August 1, 2023. By implementing our solution, employers can effectively meet regulatory requirements outlined in the Act while simultaneously minimizing associated costs.

Under this new regulation, certain entities referred to as “obligated entities” will be subject to the establishment of an internal reporting system (internal regulation) through which employees and other individuals can report selected unlawful acts (e.g., crimes, misdemeanors, etc.) that are connected to the operations of the obligated entity.

Crucially, the identity of the whistleblower and the contents of their report must be treated with utmost confidentiality to ensure their protection. Additionally, obligated entities are required to designate a relevant individual to be responsible for receiving and addressing the reports.

Within the private law sector, obligated entities primarily include employers with an average workforce of at least 50 employees, encompassing both employees on fixed-term contracts and self-employed individuals), as well as selected employers who operate specialized activities within their business (eg., consumer credit intermediaries or insurance and collateral intermediaries, etc.).
